Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement 2026

Affidea UK recognises the importance of upholding human rights and ethical standards across all areas of its operations. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, including slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and unlawful child labour. Our values underpin how we operate as an organisation and how we work with our employees, partners and suppliers. We are committed to acting ethically, with integrity, and with transparency in all business dealings. This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to the financial year ending December 2024.

Our organisation

Affidea UK is part of the Affidea Group, a leading European healthcare provider specialising in diagnostic imaging, clinical services and cancer care. In the UK, Affidea operates a network of healthcare facilities delivering high-quality diagnostic and clinical services to patients across multiple locations. Affidea UK employs both clinical and non-clinical staff and is committed to maintaining a safe, fair and respectful working environment across all sites.

Our suppliers

We expect all suppliers, contractors and business partners to share our commitment to ethical practices and to comply with applicable laws relating to modern slavery and human trafficking. We assess our supply chain and procurement processes on an ongoing basis and take appropriate steps to identify and address potential risks. Where necessary, we may request further information from suppliers to ensure compliance with our standards.

Our policies

We are committed to ensuring that all employees understand the risks of modern slavery and how to identify and report concerns. Relevant policies include Whistleblowing (Raising Concerns), Safeguarding Adults, Safeguarding Children, Equality and Diversity, and Code of Conduct. These policies provide guidance on recognising and reporting potential issues related to modern slavery and human trafficking. All policies are reviewed regularly and are available to employees internally. Staff are required to complete mandatory training, including safeguarding and equality training, and compliance is monitored on a regular basis.

Due diligence

We have processes in place to carry out due diligence on our suppliers, including assessing risk and monitoring compliance with our standards.

Measuring effectiveness

Responsibility for ensuring compliance with this statement sits with senior management. We monitor effectiveness through completion of mandatory training by staff, reporting and escalation of any concerns, and ongoing supplier due diligence and review. Relevant internal teams, including HR and Quality, oversee monitoring and reporting processes.

Affidea UK is committed to continuously strengthening its approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within its business and supply chains. This statement covers the financial year to December 2024 and will be reviewed annually.
